Motta (thigh) hasn't been selected for Saturday's game versus Pisa.
Analysis: Motta has avoided serious thigh injuries but will miss the second game in a row because of an ailment. Third-stringer Alessio Furlanetto will replace him again between the sticks. He has been serviceable since being promoted, securing three clean sheets, giving up 10 goals and making 23 saves in nine stats. He'll compete for the starting job with Ivan Provedel (shoulder) and Christos Mandas in the summer.
Absent for derby with Roma
Motta will miss Sunday's clash with Roma due to a late injury, Tuttomercatoweb reported.
Analysis: Motta suffered an undisclosed injury in training and is set for tests to determine whether he could return next week. Alessio Furlanetto is expected to start over fellow youngsters Giacomo Giacomone and Nicolo Pannozzo in relief.
Allows one goal in Cremonese game
Motta registered four saves and gave up one goal in Monday's 2-1 victory against Cremonese.
Analysis: Motta was surprised by a pretty routine shot, failing to coordinate properly to stop it, but he bounced back with some nice saves in the second half. He has kept one clean sheet in the last five matches, giving up six goals and making 12 saves. Up next, Lazio will host Inter on Saturday.
Avoids late letdown
Motta made four saves and allowed three goals in Monday's 3-3 draw versus Udinese.
Analysis: Motta probably though he cost Lazio a point late in stoppage time but a teammate was able to equalize to salvage that for the goalkeeper. He should see less shots against Cremonese, a team which has only scored 26 goals in 34 Serie A games.
